Centre for Digital Rights founder Jim Balsillie will share his thoughts on the government’s bid to overhaul the consumer privacy regime and add new risk mitigation requirements for the commercial use of artificial intelligence during a roundtable discussion with INDUSTRY AND TECHNOLOGY members, who will also hear from tech policy experts Malik Momin and Christelle Tessono. Over at NATIONAL DEFENCE, MPs continue to examine transparency within the Department of National Defence and the Canadian Armed Forces with expert testimony from University of Ottawa professor (and retired colonel) Michel Drapeau, MacDonald-Laurier Institute fellow Richard Shimooka and International Civil Liberties Monitoring Group national coordinator Tim McSorley.
