Trees are essential to our health and well-being. According to a groundbreaking scientific study, if Philadelphia can increase its tree canopy to cover 30% of its streets, the city could prevent hundreds of premature deaths each year.
Each spring and fall, PHS works with volunteers in more than 180 active Tree Tenders groups across the region to plant trees where they are most needed.
