Jean Ellen Lundblad Libbey
Jean Ellen Lundblad Libbey, 91, died on May 23rd, 2022 at University of Iowa Hospital after a stroke suffered May 18.
Jean was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa. After High School, she attended and graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Home Economics. Jean married Scott Libbey in 1953 and, together, they raised four children. Throughout her life's work, she demonstrated a passion and commitment to peace and justice serving others.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled at Grinnell United Church of Christ on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2022. For more information: www.meetgrinnellucc.org
Jean's husband, Scott Libbey, passed away in 2006. Survivors include her four children, six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Additional survivors include beloved nephews and nieces and many friends in the Grinnell community. She is also survived by her cherished Hugo, her beloved cello, whom she shared music with over the past 80 years.
