Get to Know: Cecelia Gore

Please join us on February 13 to continue our “Get to Know” series at Marquette Law School’s Lubar Center for Public Policy Research and Civic Education. Derek Mosley, director of the Lubar Center, will welcome Cecelia Gore, executive director of the Brewers Community Foundation.

Gore has led community efforts for the Brewers since 2009, supporting nonprofits improving the lives of area youth and families in education, health, recreation, and basic needs. She serves on numerous boards, including the Greater Milwaukee Foundation, Sojourner Family Peace Center, and Hank Aaron Chasing the Dream Foundation.  Gore has received honors from Carroll University, Boys and Girls Club, Girl Scouts Wisconsin Southeast, and the Donald Driver Foundation, and was named to the Milwaukee Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Women of Influence Hall of Fame. Learn about Cecelia’s love of her hometown, her commitment to change in the community, and the Brewers Community Foundation's impact on Milwaukee.  

The “Get to Know” series is envisioned, in Director Mosley’s characterization, as “more late-night talk show than Meet the Press.” The program will begin promptly at 12:15 p.m. The program will include lunch, conversation, and community in Eckstein Hall.
