Lend a hand in the blacksmith shop, say hi to the farm animals, look at veggies in the gardens, dye and spin wool, knead bread, collect chicken eggs, try on wooden shoes, ride high-wheel tricycles, and sample tasty beer in the Brewhouse. I love the flax spinning wheel at Schulz and the DeLaval cream separator at Ketola. I have many happy memories of using both.

My favorite item is a tin candle lantern that was displayed many years ago. Being a Historical Tinsmith, I made a reproduction of it. I have not seen the original on display since then.

My museum heart is happy to see this. I have worked in multiple museums in collections care. My career started at OWW. Would love to go back!

Our family lives the Baker Monitor pump that is so hard to prime. My father-in-law, Maxwell Palmer, worked for Baker and designed the self-priming feature on the pumps that you find across the country at rest stops and parks.

The Loomer Barn, built by a cousin, Leonard Loomer.

The kraut maker at one of the German farms.

My luck, I'd be in downward dog and 2 goats would find my back a suitable perch! 🥺
