I'm often asked how I made the leap from tech to wine. My journey was fueled by a genuine interest in unraveling the complexities of an unknown industry.

As I listened intently to my sommelier friends discussing wines, a spark ignited within me. Little did I know that a pivotal moment during the pandemic would lead to the birth of Fly Wines.

It all began when a close friend shared her winemaking endeavors in Santa Cruz during lockdown. Her passion and enthusiasm were contagious, but it was an experience with a wine-tasting kit that served as a turning point. I tasted some less-than-stellar wine from that kit, and a lightbulb moment occurred. What if I could curate a wine-tasting box filled with only the finest selections?

From that day forward, I embarked on a quest to understand the intricacies of the wine industry and turn my vision into reality. I researched tirelessly, made phone calls, encountered setbacks, and learned from every mistake. Fly Wines was born out of my passion for wine and the determination to create an exceptional wine-tasting experience for enthusiasts like me, especially during challenging times.

Building Fly Wines required more than just passion; it demanded a diverse team of experts to complement my own skills. Together, we embraced the uncertainty and took a leap of faith in bringing the concept to fruition. Each team member believed in the idea, recognizing its potential to redefine the wine-tasting landscape.

Navigating the world of wine came with its challenges. The transition from the tech industry was not without its doubts and uncertainties. But I soon realized that change can be a powerful catalyst for personal and professional growth. Embracing a new industry taught me resilience, adaptability, and the courage to pursue my passions wholeheartedly.

In the midst of a pandemic, Fly Wines emerged as a symbol of hope and celebration. With an unyielding focus on authenticity, and inclusivity, we curate wines from independent wineries worldwide, each bottle telling a unique story of artistry and craftsmanship.

The journey from tech to wine has been an enlightening one, not only for me but for the vibrant community of wine enthusiasts who join us on this adventure. Fly Wines represents the convergence of two worlds, where technology meets the art of winemaking, fostering a deeper appreciation for the beauty and diversity found in every sip.

As I reflect on this transformative journey, I'm reminded that life's most rewarding moments often arise from daring to explore the unknown. Embracing change with an open mind and a determined spirit has allowed me to evolve both personally and professionally. Today, I stand proud as the CEO of Fly Wines, grateful for the challenges that have shaped our path and excited for the bright future that lies ahead.

So, to those contemplating their own leap of faith, I encourage you to listen to the whispers of passion, seize the opportunities that come your way, and fearlessly embark on your journey of change. You never know where it might lead you.
