Well-being at work is not only good for people, but it's also good for the bottom line and for building a high-performing team. Thank you, KTVK 3TV Phoenix and KPHO CBS TV CH 5 Phoenix AZ News for the opportunity. #WorkplaceWellness #wellnessintheworkplace #mentalhealth #wellnesswednesday
Yesss! Love this!!
Participated in your workshop five years ago through Wellness Council of Wisconsin (WCWI) at Miron Construction Co., Inc. Loving how your consistent message is now making the news. Culture drives claims and I’m glad wellness is starting to be recognized as a critical solution rather than a fluffy afterthought.
Great message and delivery, Laura 👏
Thank you for sharing Laura Putnam ! You bring up a great point about needing to put more focus on the environment. What resources are corporations providing to their employees to set them up for success? Healthy employees help the bottom line, so it’s time we work together to close that gap.
Such fantastic insights and recommendations Laura Putnam! Everything you said truly resonates with me in a big, big way (and I'm sure does so for many others we well). Thank you for leading such a strong path towards workplace wellness!
This is great, Laura! Thank you for being a good leader in Workplace Wellness!
Well done!

1yWhile managing San Francisco’s well-being lab, I was working to understand what motivated some employees to stay with their company and others to leave. Like many folks, I naturally looked to employee engagement and I was surprised to find that it was not a strong predictor of retention. After testing over 100k metrics, organizational commitment stood out as by far the most predictive metric for long-term retention AND higher rates of professional & personal well-being ➜ In the words of Josh Bersin: “The word ‘engagement’ often limits our thinking. It assumes that our job is to reach out and ‘engage’ people, rather than to build an organization that is exciting, fulfilling, meaningful, and fun. Plus we aren't just looking to get people ‘engaged’, we want them to be ‘married.’ That is, fully COMMITTED.” A quick demo of this approach is linked below https://www.linkedin.com/posts/andrewkitchner_hrleaders-chiefpeopleofficer-chro-activity-6858828413415890944-0KuM?utm_source=linkedin_share&utm_medium=member_desktop_web Thanks for bringing attention to this Laura Putnam
