In a country that's home to more than 1,000 #comm_colleges, the 20 institutions selected for this honor stand out for having high and improving levels of student success, as well as equitable outcomes for Black and Hispanic students and those from lower-income backgrounds. They are located in urban, rural, and suburban areas across 14 states, with size ranging from 2,024 to 49,619 students. Prior to joining Aspen, Laura served as an evaluation lead at the New South Wales Department of Education in Sydney, Australia, where she honed her skills in assessing educational programs through diverse methodologies. Her academic background includes a Ph.D. and M.A. in Applied Developmental Psychology from George Mason University, as well as a B.S. in Marketing and Psychology from Tulane University.
